With the hardness of 6.5, Olivine needs some protection against abrasion. Coming from peridotite which is one of the constituents of mantle, most Olivine is born with a lot of impurities. The most high-quality Olivine is originated from Zabargad in Egypt which give birth to the deep green Olivine stones.
